today was a long day.

i have to say, we've been fairly fortunate the last couple of weeks out in here in southern ontario... cbc tells me there's been some crazy-ass snow in vancouver, -36 temp. in edmonton, and much of the same in ol' winnipeg..

but today's forecast here predicted 13+ for most of the day... with 40 % chance of percipitation. i dressed accordingly, and suffered big-time when the freezing rain came down on us all day long....

so it goes.

i've been feeling good about work lately; despite the cold times and the (sometimes) monotonous tasks... it's a refreshing change of scenery from the academic scene (obviously)... and i find the work environment a lot more comfortable than the corporate offices i use to push paper in... this blue-collar atmosphere just seems to gel a lot more easily with me....

i don't consider iron-working a career, persay, but i could see myself doing this for the next year or so - making some coin to explore the world, pay-off student loans, and get that Audi 90 runnning again.
